Microchip has introduced two new cmos low dropout voltage regulators.

The MCP1755 and MCP1755S can accept an input voltage range of 3.6 to 16V and deliver an output current of 300mA at output voltages of 1.8 to 5.5V, while consuming only 68ľA of quiescent current.

The devices also have a shutdown pin, enabling them to consume less than 0.1ľA (typical) during shutdown mode.

The MCP1755S is offered in 3pin SOT223 and 8pin, 2 x 3mm DFN packages; while the MCP1755 is available in 5pin SOT223 and SOT23 packages, as well as the 8pin, 2 x 3 mm DFN.
